Stand Up to Harassment – Free Bystander Training

As the evenings draw in at the end of October and into November, many people – and women in particular – tell us they feel less safe in public spaces. Everyone has the right to live their lives free from harassment, abuse, and violence.

Surrey against Domestic abuse is  pleased to offer free 30-minute Anti-Harassment Training sessions, delivered by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, and sponsored by L’Oreal Paris, designed to equip the public and professionals with practical, safe techniques to recognise and respond to harassment when they witness it.

This training is ideal for anyone who lives, works, or socialises in Surrey and wants to promote safer, more inclusive spaces for everyone. During the session, you will learn how to:

  • Identify harassment in various settings
  • Use the “5Ds” of bystander intervention to act safely without putting yourself at risk
  • Support colleagues, friends or community members who may be targeted
